New Look for Taiwan Railways' Tze-Chiang Limited Express: The 6-Month Limited "Golden Painted Train" Hits the Tracks in October

Taiwan Railways and Japan’s Tobu Railway signed a friendship railway agreement at the end of 2015. To promote each other’s services, Taiwan Railways has repainted one of its Tze-Chiang Limited Express trains to resemble Tobu’s “Nikko To SPACIA,” which will debut in Taiwan on October 3 and run for about six months.

The Nikko To SPACIA train features a design inspired by Nikko’s shrines and temples, using a shiny gold as the main exterior color, accented with sleek black and orange lines that are both elegant and eye-catching.

Following Tobu Railway’s recent repaint of one of its trains to resemble Taiwan’s Puyuma Express, Taiwan Railways has now repainted a Tze-Chiang Limited Express to resemble the Nikko To SPACIA as a gesture of goodwill between Taiwanese and Japanese railways. Starting in October, travelers in Taiwan will have the chance to ride it.
