March 2014 National Hotel Openings Statistical Report

    According to an incomplete survey by Mydata Tourism Research Institute on domestic hotel openings, in March 2014, there were 16 newly opened hotels in China, with a total of approximately 5,000 rooms (suites). Compared to the previous month, the number of newly opened hotels this month increased by 8, a rise of 100%; the total number of rooms increased by approximately 3,205, a rise of 179%. Among the hotels opened this month, 11 are five-star standard, 4 are four-star standard, and 1 is three-star standard.
