Staying overnight in New York, travelers probably expect it won’t come cheap. The booming tourism scene also means more new possibilities are emerging,According to Lonely Planet, Airbnb has recently introduced a new accommodation option — renting out the back seat of a taxi for travelers in New York, with prices around NT$1,200–1,600, which is truly a great deal!

Although the accommodation doesn’t include a bathroom, the host provides guests with a list of nearby places where they can freshen up. Staying inside the taxi still allows you to enjoy the sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline from Long Island City.

The host, Powley, has extensive experience in the service industry. Even though it’s a taxi space, he aims to make every guest feel at home — for special occasions like anniversaries, he even places heart-shaped roses on the bed. Currently, there aren’t many taxis available for this, and considering quality control, Powley hopes to offer a customized experience for each guest.
