The ground, less than 5 square meters, was covered with injured men and women, who groaned or cried out in pain from time to time, with bright red blood gushing from their arms. The rescue team that arrived upon hearing the news quickly provided aid after assessing the scene and confirming there were no risks. They first confirmed that the casualties were conscious, then put on gloves and swiftly and carefully examined the injured for any life-threatening major bleeding... This dramatic scene did not take place in a canyon, rapids, dense forest, or at an earthquake site, but rather at the professional training program site for "Wilderness First Aid and Risk Management," jointly established on July 13, 2014, by Gore, WMAI, and Peak Outdoor Sports School. During the drill, participants were divided into two groups: one group, made up to look like the wounded, played the role of critically injured “victims,” while the other group played the role of professional rescue teams using the knowledge they had just learned to provide rapid aid. Throughout the exercise, instructors Sun Lingye from the International Wilderness Medical Association (WMAI) and Sun Bin, principal of Peak Outdoor Sports School, watched intently from the sidelines, occasionally stepping in to assist with the rescues.

Through intensive training by professional instructors in "Wilderness First Aid and Risk Management," participants will be equipped to comprehensively identify and accurately assess the safety risks associated with their outdoor activities, preparing them to evaluate and respond to medical emergencies during trips. They will also gain correct and professional knowledge about the proper selection and use of gear, enabling them to choose and utilize the most appropriate equipment based on different climates, environments, and terrains.
