The top six most popular highway service area dishes have been announced — the cheapest one is just 59 NT dollars!

After a month-long vote, the first-ever “Highway Service Area Food Popularity King” has been officially selected. Whether it’s a Chinese-style bento or a Western-style burger, all winners surpassed the popularity threshold with over 24,000 votes out of a total of 300,000, with prices ranging from 59 to 185 NT dollars. Enjoy delicious food without spending a lot — both economical and satisfying.

Organized by the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, all 14 highway service areas across Taiwan each nominated a signature dish for the competition. The six most popular dishes selected are:

The 59 NT dollar plum-braised pork bento from Kuanhsi Service Area
The 79 NT dollar retro bento from Hukou Service Area
The 155 NT dollar Lemon Burger from Xinying Service Area
The 185 NT dollar fried milkfish belly set meal from Dongshan Service Area
The 100 NT dollar Makau thigh rice from Zhongli Service Area
The 149 NT dollar Hsinchu stir-fried rice noodle set from Xihu Service Area
