The design incorporates numerous elements inspired by the plum blossom, the city flower of Nanjing, which is artfully presented throughout the property. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by two striking plum blossom decorations at the front desk. A crystal chandelier shaped like a five-petal plum blossom complements the plum blossom carpet in the lobby, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the charm and inclusiveness of Nanjing.
Another highlight of the hotel’s design is a bronze sculpture from the “Xiyazi Series” created by renowned sculptor Xiao Xiaoqiu. This piece captures the moment of a child throwing a sandbag, expressing the anticipation felt as the sandbag flies through the air. The enlarged version of the “Xiyazi” sculpture brings vibrancy to the hotel lobby while symbolizing hopeful aspirations for the hotel’s bright future.
Rooms at Nanjing Shangri-La Hotel range from 45 to 72 square metres, and there are also 21 serviced apartments.
