China News Service, Dec. 24 — According to Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun, on the 23rd, a group of people dressed as Santas rode American-style motorcycles through the streets of Tokyo, hoping to draw attention to the issue of child abuse through this unique parade.

On the day of the event, these caring "Santas" visited a local orphanage before the parade to deliver Christmas gifts such as toys and sweets to the children there.
It is reported that the group was established in 2008, and this year a total of 430 people participated in the event. At 1 p.m. local time on the 23rd, 250 motorcycles decorated with a festive Christmas theme set off together outside Meiji Shrine in Tokyo's Shinjuku district. The procession also displayed banners reading "Stop Child Abuse" as they rode through areas such as Harajuku and Roppongi.
A 58-year-old woman from Kagoshima City, who came specially to take part in the event, said that during the parade she saw many people waving at the group, and she hoped this would help draw more public attention to the serious issue of child abuse.
