The New Year’s Eve fireworks show was organized by global real estate developer Emaar Properties. The fireworks illuminated the “world’s largest LED-illuminated façade” on the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, setting a new Guinness World Record for the display.

The “world’s largest LED-illuminated façade” on the Burj Khalifa was the centerpiece of the celebration, allowing the throngs of spectators to experience the magic of the world’s largest visual display. Covering a total area of 32,467 square meters, the façade set a new record, while the LED screen on the Burj Khalifa expanded nearly 3.75 times in size. The record-breaking LED screen consists of 70,000 LED bulbs, with 55,000 meters of wiring seamlessly connecting over 100,000 light fixtures to create a flawless visual effect.
The fireworks, laser displays, and multimedia screens utilized the world’s most advanced pyrotechnic designs and LED lighting technologies. Professionals from around the world worked over 192,000 man-hours for this New Year’s performance. Approximately 200 technical experts were involved in the project. Over 4.7 tons of fireworks burst into 25,000 fireworks that lit up the sky. The synchronized fireworks were connected by more than 25,000 meters of cables, with some even shooting up to the top of the Burj Khalifa, as if crowning the skyscraper.
This fireworks show was the most spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration in Dubai’s history. To highlight the Burj Khalifa as a “living entity,” the fireworks display featured an unprecedented design, adorning the skyscraper with colorful halos and fiery bursts reminiscent of a volcanic eruption. As countless fireworks soared into the night sky, illuminating the Burj Khalifa like millions of stars, people welcomed 2015 amid cheers and anticipation.
