I really love traveling to Thailand so much！ EVA Air and Thai Airways have increased their joint flights to 34 per week.

EVA Air announced that starting October 30, it will partner with Thai Airways to jointly operate the Taipei Taoyuan–Bangkok route under a codeshare agreement. Li Shiliang, Deputy General Manager of EVA Air’s Passenger Aviation Division, stated that the number of travelers from Thailand to Taiwan has significantly increased after Thailand implemented a visa exemption policy for Taiwan passport holders. The airline hopes to increase flight frequency and provide passengers with more options through this codeshare collaboration.

Currently, EVA Air operates 27 weekly direct flights from Taoyuan to Bangkok, while Thai Airways operates 14 weekly flights on the Taoyuan–Bangkok route, with two daily direct flights: morning TG637 at 07:40 and evening TG635 at 20:10. Flights from Bangkok to Taoyuan are also scheduled twice daily: morning TG634 at 07:10 and TG636 at 17:40.With the addition of seven weekly early-departure, late-return flights operating under a codeshare with EVA Air’s existing 27 weekly flights, the total number of joint flights will increase to 34 per week, offering passengers more flexible travel options.

In addition, in EVA Air’s key market of North America, the first flight from Taoyuan to Chicago will commence on November 2, bringing the total number of non-stop destinations from Taiwan to North America to eight, with a combined total of 80 weekly flights. Li Shiliang stated that through this codeshare partnership, it is expected to leverage Thai Airways’ extensive Southeast Asian flight network and sales presence to attract an additional 10%–20% of transit passengers—American residents, tourists, or business travelers—from Thailand to major North American cities, further expanding the market between North America and Southeast Asia.
