Tainan’s clear-boiled beef soup is famous far and wide, and there are countless shops selling this delicious dish. In January this year, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau also distributed 5,000 copies of the "Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Soup Guide," providing the public with information and basic knowledge about beef soup shops, which were all quickly claimed. Therefore, recently the Tourism Bureau, in conjunction with the series of events for the "2016 Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Festival,"has launched the "Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Soup Guide - Upgraded Edition," featuring information on as many as 68 beef soup shops and will be available in limited quantities starting October 26.

The Tourism Bureau stated that the "Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Soup Guide - Upgraded Edition" will guide readers to deeply understand beef soup from four perspectives: cultural history, foodie insights, in-depth viewpoints, and travel food information. It also includes the tasting experiences and related knowledge of city writer Wang Haoyi, beef soup expert Zhang Xiaojun, food critic Xu Zhong, Yilan Ye, Lu Jianchang, and Chen Junwen. Additionally, the handbook features information on 68 beef soup shops certified with the "Taiwan Domestic Beef Certification Label" and "Slaughter Certificate," and also provides food-and-tourism routes combining cuisine and sightseeing for public reference.

The "Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Soup Guide - Upgraded Edition" will be available in limited quantities starting October 26 at Taiwan Railway Tourist Service Centers across the country.
