The 2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo Opens on November 3rd – Gary and Bii Bir Kyu will Meet Fans

The “2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo” will be held on November 3rd and 4th at LEGACY in Huashan 1914 Creative Park. In addition to activities such as introductions to Korean attractions and cultural experiences, K-pop stars Gary, a regular cast member of the variety show Running Man, and popular male singer Bii (Bir Kyu) will also perform and meet fans, promising to create a wave of Hallyu fever at the venue.

“Enjoy Your Innovative Korea – 2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo” features various travel talks shared by Korean travel experts, authentic Korean cultural experiences, delicious Korean food tastings, and introductions to Korean attractions. For performances, the event has invited the world-renowned street dance group “Gukak B-Boy,” champions of the R16 World B-Boy Championship, and the modern innovative music performance group “Fantasy Stick Show (Fanta-Stick).” Additionally, K-pop star Gary and popular male singer Bii will meet fans, helping to draw large crowds to the expo.

In addition to lively performances, the Korea Culture & Tourism Expo has set up booths for culture, food, travel agencies, and tourist attractions for visitors to experience and explore. There is also a trendy VR experience zone where attendees can try out winter sports events from the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics—such as ski jumping and short track speed skating—or take virtual tours of Korea’s cultural heritage and tourism routes to experience the sights, traditional culture, and culinary delights.

The Korea Tourism Organization and its Taipei branch announced that the Korea Culture & Tourism Expo is running a “Double Exhibition Stamp Rally Giveaway” campaign. Visitors who collect enough stamps during the expo period can receive colorful phone card cases and enter lucky draws, with the grand prize being two round-trip free flights to Korea. Moreover, those who visit the Korea Pavilion at the “Taipei International Travel Fair” at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from November 4th to 7th may also have the chance to win merchandise from the hit drama “Descendants of the Sun.” Fans of Korean culture or those planning to visit Korea shouldn’t miss out.
