Located in Nangang, Juan Di Izakaya has been open for three years and sees many office workers during meal times. Unlike typical izakayas, this shop focuses on lunch and dinner services. Thanks to its proximity to the office district near Nangang Science Park, there are fewer late-night customers, allowing it to successfully carve out its own blue ocean strategy. In addition to skewer platters, the shop also offers a rare pork kushiyaki teppanyaki dish that’s not commonly found elsewhere.

Pork kushiyaki teppanyaki – NT$150
The chef marinates pork belly in sweet miso. Compared to the saltier miso commonly found in other shops, this version has a unique flavor. Many may not know what teppanyaki is—essentially, it’s a cooking method similar to okonomiyaki, but usually used for seafood. This shop applies it to pork instead.
