South Korea’s Daegu E-World Shines Bright with Starlight Festival & Breathtaking Views of 83 Tower

In May this year, Tigerair launched direct flights from Taipei to Daegu, South Korea, sparking a travel boom to the city. To celebrate the winter season, Daegu’s renowned theme park E World is hosting a special Starlight Festival from November 19 to February 28 next year. The event will feature dazzling light and sound effects to create a magical night festival with dancing lights in the sky, along with the illumination of a giant Christmas tree — all designed to deliver a romantic holiday atmosphere that attracts both domestic and international visitors.

The 4th E World Starlight Festival kicks off on November 19, with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony scheduled for November 5 to give visitors an early taste of the festive spirit. On the evening of the opening day, November 19, a spectacular fireworks display will be held, accompanied by music and LED-lit scenery that creates a dreamy starlit night — sure to be a highlight not to be missed.

E World is a famous theme park in Daegu and was one of the filming locations for the first episode of the Korean drama “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.” Alongside the iconic 83 Tower (83 TOWER), which is also a local landmark, both are operated by the E-Land Group. It's a popular spot for couples on dates and locals wanting to enjoy the night view. Visitors are advised to take the cable car into the park. Walking up the slope along the outside of 83 Tower, you’ll pass roads adorned with LED lights before reaching the cable car station on the 4th floor. The cable car transports you into E World, where you can admire the enchanting nighttime scenery from above.
