Stark Asia Headquarters to Open in January – First Look at the Iron Man Zone in Hong Kong Disneyland

The highly anticipated first Marvel-themed attraction in a Disney park, “Iron Man” (known locally as “Iron Man Experience”), will officially open on January 11, 2017, at Hong Kong Disneyland.This is the first attraction in the park to feature a storyline set in Hong Kong, offering guests a hyper-realistic VR flight over the city’s skyline as they team up with “Iron Man” to battle the evil Hydra organization.

Tony Stark has built the Stark Industries Asia Headquarters in Hong Kong and is hosting the “Stark Expo” in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland, showcasing the latest and most advanced innovations from Stark Enterprises to park guests.The “Stark Expo” features several large exhibition halls, including the “History Hall,” “Defense Hall,” “Energy Hall,” and “Power Hall,” taking visitors on an unprecedented “Iron Man Experience.”
By putting on the “Stark Vision Goggles” and boarding a special edition “Mark III Armor Jet” from the “Stark Expo,” guests can get an up-close view of the Stark Tower in Hong Kong powered by the Arc Reactor. Soar past simulated versions of areas like West Kowloon and downtown Hong Kong, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Tsing Ma Bridge and Victoria Harbour, all while flying alongside Iron Man.

The brand-new themed shop, “Stark Expo Boutique,” has already opened ahead of schedule, featuring over 70 exclusive “Iron Man” merchandise items available only at Hong Kong Disneyland, as well as more than 250 Marvel-themed products.The store also offers an interactive motion-sensing game called “Iron Man Simulation Armor,” where guests can don a simulation suit and become Iron Man, transforming into a superhero themselves.

In addition,the brand-new “Stark Industries Presents: Iron Man Gear Exhibit,” loved by both kids and adults, will display various pieces of Iron Man’s equipment.Iron Man himself will also make surprise appearances at the exhibit, giving you the chance for a face-to-face encounter with the hero for the first time at Hong Kong Disneyland.

The park will offer a “Priority Iron Man Flight Experience” from December 23, 2016, to January 8, 2017, giving guests the opportunity to be among the first to enjoy this new Marvel-themed experience. Additionally, starting December 23, 2016*, guests staying at either of the park’s two themed hotels will receive a “Priority Access Pass**” for the “Iron Man Experience,” allowing them early access to meet Iron Man.
