Tucked away in Sanzhi, Zhipai Villa has gained a reputation as “Zhipai Art Village” due to the presence of the Li Tianlu Puppetry Museum, the Yang Ziyun Art Museum, and numerous art studios set up by creative professionals. The area exudes a strong artistic atmosphere. Strolling through the community streets in the cool autumn air feels like...you’ve accidentally wandered into a foreign country.

Most notably,every building in the art village has its own distinct style, and each homestay, café, and restaurant has been transformed by its owner’s creativity into something truly special.Some have a whimsical, childlike charm, others fall under a forest-themed aesthetic, and some are grouped under the designer category. Just a few steps away, you’ll find another photo-worthy location. Wandering the lanes, surprises await in every corner. What makes Zhipai Art Village especially precious and intriguing is how common it is abroad to see such personalized home decorations at the doorstep—but in Taiwan, such a community is rare.

1. Take the MRT to Tamsui Station, then transfer to bus 866 or 877 and get off at Zhipai Villa Station. Walk to the destination.
[Driving]
1. From National Freeway No. 3 (Jinji Interchange) → Provincial Highway 2 → Wanli → Jinshan → Shimen → Sanzhi. Turn left onto Zhongxiao Street at the 20 km mark of Provincial Highway 2, then turn left onto Zhicheng Street and continue straight to Zhipai Villa.
2. From National Freeway No. 1 (Wugu Interchange) → Expressway No. 64 → Bali-Wugu (heading toward Tamsui) → Guandu Bridge → Zhulüi → Tamsui Riverbank → Provincial Highway 2 → Sanzhi. At the 20 km mark of Provincial Highway 2, turn right onto Zhongxiao Street, then left onto Zhicheng Street and continue straight to Zhipai Villa.
3. Taipei → Yangde Avenue → Yangjin Highway → Balaka Highway (101A) → County Road 101 → Sanzhi. Turn right onto Section 2 of Zhongzheng Road, then continue straight onto Zhicheng Street to Zhipai Villa.
4. Taipei → Shilin → Guandu → Zhulüi → Tamsui Riverbank → Provincial Highway 2 → Sanzhi. At the 20 km mark of Provincial Highway 2, turn right onto Zhongxiao Street, then left onto Zhicheng Street and continue straight to Zhipai Villa.
