A vast expanse of white autumn snow arrives    Chrysanthemums in Tongluo, Miaoli bloom like "snowflakes" flying everywhere

Every November marks the season of chrysanthemums in Tongluo, Miaoli, where vast fields of white blossoms resemble autumn snow. The stunning scenery attracts many flower enthusiasts every year. In conjunction with the taro harvest, the Tongluo Township Farmers' Association will hold the "2016 Miaoli Tongluo Chrysanthemum & Taro Festival ~ Chrysanthemum Blessings Like Taro" during the 2016 Miaoli Tongluo Chrysanthemum & Taro Festival, inviting the public to come to Tongluo to enjoy taro and admire the autumn chrysanthemums.

The "2016 Miaoli Tongluo Chrysanthemum & Taro Festival ~ Chrysanthemum Blessings Like Taro" will be held at the Jiuhu Leisure Farm. The Tongluo Township Farmers' Association has planned activities including chrysanthemum picking, tea ceremony experiences, handmade soap DIY, and chrysanthemum-taro gourmet tastings, allowing visitors to enjoy both the flowers and delicious food while experiencing fun and enriching activities on their autumn leisure trip. From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the Chrysanthemum & Taro Festival, visitors can take a free chrysanthemum-viewing shuttle bus from Tongluo Railway Station to the event venue.

Now is the peak season for chrysanthemums, and visitors can also enjoy the flower seas on weekdays in Tongluo.The flowering season lasts approximately from early November to early December. However, after late November, when the chrysanthemums pass zero pesticide residue inspections, they will officially be open for viewing. The public is advised to plan their visit accordingly.Additionally, the Flowers in Tongluo fan page recommends that visitors can also choose to admire the flowers near Wenfeng Elementary School, which has large planting areas.

Transportation Guide: By car, take National Freeway No. 1 to Tongluo Interchange, then connect to Provincial Highway 13 Outer Ring Road. Enter the event site via Tongke South Road Bridge or Jiuhu Bridge. (Traffic control will be in place during the event period—see table below)
