Big data can help you book a cheap hotel room — Sunday is the best time!

There are all kinds of hotels these days, so it's pretty much impossible not to find one. The real question travelers might want to know is: which day offers the cheapest prices?According to the Lonely Planet website,there is indeed one specific day of the week when you can book a hotel at a better rate.

This report mentions that the booking website Expedia conducted a study,which found that Sunday is the best day to book a hotel room, especially if you're checking in on a Sunday or your trip includes a Sunday — prices tend to be lower compared to other days. But be careful: if your itinerary includes Saturday, the price might be quite high, as Saturdays are the most expensive days for hotel bookings.

However, there is a solution. The Expedia study suggests that travelersbook their rooms 3 to 4 weeks in advance,and that the cheapest months of the year are November and January, while the most expensive are July, August, and March.
