When visiting fun-filled and shopping-friendly Thailand, you’re bound to walk until your feet ache. In the evening, be sure to treat yourself to an authentic Thai massage to fully relax your body, mind, and soul. Thailand’s traditional massage has a long history, and in the resort island of Phuket, spas and wellness centers abound. Many have combined traditional Thai massage techniques with spa treatments to offer travelers an unprecedented level of top-tier relaxation.
1. Mandara Spa at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa
Mandara offers 40 different treatment options, with the full experience lasting up to 4 hours. It begins with a floral foot ritual, followed by aromatic steam, aromatic salt scrub, aromatic flower bath, aromatic massage, an aromatic facial, and concludes with tea and light refreshments. Mandara Spa also provides a traditional Thai massage therapy that utilizes techniques dating back over 2,500 years. This 90-minute session is available for just 3,500 THB.
2. Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa
The signature spa treatment at Hilton Phuket Arcadia is the Rejuvenating Balance Therapy. This 90-minute journey begins with a floral foot soak, featuring warm water infused with Thai lime slices and flower petals for a soothing foot massage. Next, natural sesame and honey are used for a full-body exfoliation, followed by a 60-minute massage. The first 15 minutes use Thai massage techniques, after which the therapist applies wild mint oil across the body and uses Thai herbal heat packs to relieve muscle soreness and stimulate circulation. The cost is approximately 3,800 THB.

Here, massage becomes a holistic therapy for both body and soul. The daytime package spans 7 hours and includes a series of invigorating body treatments. These consist of body scrubs, body care, and massages. After enjoying a spa-inspired lunch at noon, guests continue with three more treatments, including facial, hand, and foot therapies, as therapists guide them into a deeper state of mindfulness.

4. Royal Phuket Yacht Club
The Royal Massage combines Swedish and Thai techniques along with aromatherapy. Therapists gently apply pressure to the back, move down to the legs, turn the client over, and finish with a head and facial massage. The session lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, costs 2,900 THB, and leaves you feeling completely refreshed and revitalized after this circulation-boosting treatment.
5. Le Spa at Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort
Le Spa offers a 3-day program for just 6,500 THB, combining gentle exercise with spa treatments using various types of tea—such as green tea, fruit tea, floral tea—and other massage products. It starts with a 50-minute gentle leg treatment to help guests unwind and combat jet lag. The second day includes a 50-minute massage plus 40 minutes of stretching or meditation, all enjoyed in a relaxing resort atmosphere.
6. The Spa at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Phuket
This is the perfect spa experience for couples and lovers. For two people, the cost is around 7,500 THB. In a luxurious double suite, the 2-hour relaxation package begins with a soothing foot soak using nourishing lavender essential oil to comfort tired feet. 7. The Aspara Spa at Holiday Inn Resort Phuket
Hot stone therapy and aromatic meridian massage are highlights here. The 75-minute hot stone treatment costs about 2,600 THB and involves placing heated basalt stones on key energy points to relieve muscle tension and improve blood flow, followed by an aromatic oil massage. The aromatic meridian massage blends aromatherapy with the principles of Chinese yin and yang, using herbal sachets filled with flower petals and medicinal herbs for a warming compress that stimulates meridians and acupressure points.
