1. Salt Peanuts

Originally located in the Shida shopping district, Salt Peanuts Cafe has moved to Dihua Street. The cafe mainly serves drinks and various pastries, with its signature salted peanut coffee offering a uniquely sweet-and-salty peanut flavor. The brown sugar cinnamon roll is also a must-try. Step into the outdoor dining area at the back of the cafe, and you’ll be greeted by the charming surprise of an old house’s backyard garden.

2. Frog Cafe

To match the local cultural and historical character, Frog Cafe Yongle Branch retained the red brick walls, concrete staircases, and vintage floor tiles, filling every corner with a strong nostalgic vibe. The cafe also sells many Taiwan-themed cultural and creative products, perfect for leisurely exploration.

3. Stove Pot Cafe

Stove Pot Cafe Xiaoyiting Branch is located upstairs from the century-old Watsons Pharmacy, which has stood since 1917 and is the largest old street-front building in the area. The cafe preserves the original red brick tile flooring, while its calm wooden furnishings gather an old-time ambiance within the small space. Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee offers one of Dadaocheng’s most beautiful views.

4. Bao’an 84

Bao’an 84 was once a clinic named Shuntian Surgical Hospital during the Japanese colonial period. To preserve memories of the olden days, Bao’an 84 kept the original clinic signboard and even placed a skeleton wearing a doctor’s robe in the cafe—an intriguing touch. Aside from coffee and light meals, the space also hosts occasional art and cultural events.

The Bao’an branch was formerly the Ye Jintu Heritage House. Its magnificent Baroque-style architecture is the biggest highlight here.
