Why is the Romantic Road so romantic?

Romantische Straße, a 350-kilometer romantic route in southern Germany, stretches from Würzburg to Füssen, passing through 28 towns and cities that let you step back into the glorious Middle Ages. The starting point of the Romantic Road is Würzburg, a city reborn from the ashes of war. Its understated yet magnificent Bishop’s Palace is a must-see architectural gem in the city. Then continue on to see Neuschwanstein Castle. Can you say it’s not romantic?

The Rhine River calls for a three-part experience

Part One: Rhine River Cruise – The morning and night along the Rhine weave together a German-style romantic minuet. The winding river, dotted with numerous castles on both banks, showcases the grandeur of nature blended with historical value.

Part Two: Stay at a Rhine River Castle Hotel – If you’re lucky enough to stay at Hotel Schloss Rheinfels, a hotel renowned as a “museum hotel,” you’ll immerse yourself in the gentleness and melancholy, beauty and sorrow of the Rhine. Spending a night as the master of a castle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Germany (Hotel Schloss Rheinfels has been voted Germany’s best hotel for ten consecutive years).

Part Three: A Romantic Dinner with a View – Choose a nice restaurant with a great view, and let the beauty of the Rhine outside your window enhance your gourmet meal. The aforementioned Hotel Schloss Rheinfels is a great choice. What is true travel? Staying in history, seeing breathtaking views, and tasting delicious food creates the best memories!!

Send a postcard from the Jungfrau and admire the majestic Aletsch Glacier

Switzerland’s stunning landscapes leave no one untouched—every step feels like a new painting. Especially the snow-dusted scenery atop the Jungfrau; be sure to send a postcard to yourself and those you care about there. It’s incredibly meaningful ♥

2. Italy – A “whole new” way to travel by staying on Capri Island

The azure Capri Island is recognized worldwide as one of the best honeymoon destinations. The air here is irresistibly romantic, and its charm is simply heavenly. Hotels on Capri are only open for seven months a year (summer season: April to October), with limited rooms and high prices, even more expensive than hotels on the Amalfi Coast. But it’s absolutely worth it!

Staying on Capri gives you an extra chance to visit the Blue Grotto. Arrive on Capri by 3:30 PM the day before—if the sea conditions prevent entry, you can try again at 9:00 AM the next morning. The little-known secret is that if you arrive after 4:30 PM, the Blue Grotto boatmen have already finished work. Even if you stay overnight on the island, you’ll only get one chance to visit the Blue Grotto the next morning.

3. Austria & Czech Republic – A truly unique experience with a century-old antique tram + a mandatory boat ride on Lake Königssee

A Truly Unique Century-Old Antique Tram

When in Prague, besides exploring the Old Town and Prague Castle on foot, trying different modes of transport is a great option. Locals and tourists usually commute or sightsee using modern trams, but you can apply to ride a preserved century-old antique tram stored in a museum. The route takes you past the Old Town, New Town, along the Vltava River, and then to the Castle District. Along the way, the ancient cityscapes unfold before your eyes. The most unique human spectacle? “Prague locals will stop and take photos of you riding the antique tram”—because it’s such a rare sight, and they warmly welcome your visit.

Everyone who’s been says it’s breathtakingly beautiful—the mandatory boat ride on Lake Königssee

The serene and profound Lake Königssee is hailed as the most beautiful lake in Germany. It takes three hours to get here from Munich, the nearest tourist city in Germany, but only 40 minutes from Salzburg, making it a must-visit hidden gem in Austria.

The boat ride takes you deep into the lake’s most iconic attraction—the St. Bartholomä Peninsula. The uniquely styled St. Bartholomä Church on the island, with its onion-shaped red-tiled roof and round white body, stands out strikingly. Only electric boats are allowed on the lake, surrounded by mountains and echoing sounds—a place like a fairyland, incredibly beautiful.
