A fairytale-like castle in Minxiong, Chiayi, filled with super cute teddy bears!

[Bear Big Village Forest Theme Leisure Park] is tucked away in the Touqiao Industrial Area of Minxiong Township, Chiayi County, making it a great family-friendly travel destination. The park is lush with greenery, shattering the stereotype that industrial zones are only filled with concrete buildings and machinery. With its fairytale-like castle and incredibly adorable teddy bears, since its establishment in 2015, it has attracted a constant stream of visitors of all ages. The first time I saw [Bear Big Village] in an online post, I was immediately enchanted and wanted to go. Thanks to this trip to Penghu, I finally got my wish.

My trip to Penghu led me to spend the night in Budai, Chiayi: I tried the giant meatball, visited Beimen in Tainan along the way, and even went to Minxiong, Chiayi to hug some teddy bears.

Bear Big Village Forest Theme Leisure Park is still in its trial operation phase and offers free admission. The biggest highlights: the Dreamy Café and the Bear Family.

There’s free parking available, but you’ll need to walk a bit to reach the park. The park has outdoor activity spaces as well as indoor venues that offer shade and shelter from rain.

Before even getting close to [Bear Big Village], you can spot from afar this towering European-style manor castle, which is truly thrilling.

Inside the castle, on the first floor, is the “Dreamy Café”: the sofa area is very comfortable, offering coffee, chocolate, cold drinks, ice cream, and healthy hot beverages.

Bear Big Village Forest Theme Leisure Park is not only full of greenery everywhere but also brimming with childlike fun—owls are waiting for you and me to find them.

“Happy Fountain”: the cute bear grandparents, smiling and holding hands, spread happiness and warm your heart.

“Cozy Glass House”: a glass house surrounded by sunlight and green trees where you can enjoy the scenery while dining comfortably.

The product display area is spacious and laid-back, putting no pressure on visitors to buy anything. I didn’t buy a thing and still had a great time browsing.

Developed using natural ingredients and essential oil extracts: home cleaning products, bath products, facial care products… the range is diverse.

Originally a contract manufacturer for skincare and cosmetics, it has now transformed into a self-branded tourist factory, promoting affordable, high-quality, and eco-friendly natural products.

The factory is located in Xingnan Village, Minxiong Township, the largest village in the area, commonly referred to as “Shang Da Zhuang.” Playing on the similar sound, the tourist factory was named [Bear Big Village], hoping to spread happiness through the Bear Family.

Don’t feel like buying anything or soaking up the sun outdoors? Do you just want to take cute photos with the super adorable Bear Family?

“Bear Family Welcome Area”: it’s simply eye-catching ! The shutter sounds of phones and cameras go non-stop, and the laughter of visitors young and old never ceases.

Visitors flood in, competing to take photos with every bear. To get a shot without anyone in it, you’ll need plenty of patience and a bit of luck, YA!
