On April 8th, at the Ogenic Organic Farm in Kunshan, laughter and cheers filled the air as children had a blast. This parent-child organic farm trip, organized by Mommy Zhi, allowed both kids and their parents to enjoy a healthy and joyful day.
The weather, which was forecasted to rain, cleared up thanks to the arrival of the children. After receiving sweatshirts and backpacks sponsored by “Mr. Men and Little Miss,” the kids ran and played freely on the big lawn, kicking off an energetic day. The adults, too, were infected by the cheerful atmosphere and couldn’t help but join in the games.
Guided by the farm’s host, “Brother Potato,” both adults and children visited the organic farm, got to know various vegetables, and interacted with many adorable little animals.
More importantly, everyone learned what real organic vegetables are—not just naturally grown, chemical-free, and pollution-free, but also cultivated through methods that promote a more harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
Besides, Mommy Zhi, in collaboration with Ogenic Organic Farm, prepared a series of parent-child activities for moms, dads, and kids: pickling vegetables, DIY organic rice balls, hands-on vegetable planting, scavenger hunts for veggies, and more...
Of course, what excited the little ones the most were the radish-pulling and the egg-hunting-for-Mama-Goose segments. The usually delicate little princes and princesses completely forgot about their usual fussiness, joyfully getting up close and personal with the dirt and plants.
Maybe that’s the true meaning of this activity—allowing urban children and adults to return to nature and rediscover the kind of happiness that can’t be found on phones or computers.
The activity drew to a close amid the children’s reluctance to leave. With heartfelt farewells from the staff, participating families embarked on their journey home, all expressing their excitement for the next Mommy Zhi parent-child trip.
