2017 Tokyo Michelin Guide: Joël Robuchon, Sukiyabashi Jiro and Other Restaurants Retain Their Three-Star Status for the 10th Year

The print edition of the 2017 Tokyo Michelin Guide will be released on December 2. However, similar to the 2017 Kyoto-Osaka Michelin Guide, it will also feature a web version in collaboration with the popular food website GURUNAVI, which will be available for free online as early as November 29. A total of 227 restaurants have been awarded stars this time, with the number of three-star restaurants dropping from 13 to 12. Among them, four restaurants have maintained their three-star status for 10 consecutive years: Sukiyabashi Jiro, the flagship restaurant of the "Sushi God," as well as Kagurazaka Ishikawa, Joël Robuchon, and Quintessence.

Out of the 227 starred restaurants, 12 have earned three stars, 54 have received two stars, and 161 have been awarded one star. Among the two-star restaurants, four are newly listed: Kyubey, Sushi no Midori, Kanda, and Ishikawa. Meanwhile, nine one-star restaurants are also new to the list.
