The tropical depression, with a pressure of 998 hPa, is located at 21.2°N, 122.7°E, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi, moving north at a speed of 20 km/h. Ships navigating or operating in the Bashi Channel, the eastern half of Taiwan’s waters, and the northern waters of Taiwan should exercise particular caution, and be aware of the possibility of swells. If it develops into a typhoon, the Central Weather Bureau may issue an immediate typhoon warning.
Affected by the peripheral moisture and subsidence of the typhoon, scattered brief showers are expected in the north. Around noon on the 22nd, localized areas in the basin, near mountainous regions, and river valleys will see a high-temperature yellow alert, with a chance of temperatures reaching 36°C. New Taipei City is under a yellow alert, with the possibility of temperatures exceeding 36°C.
