Fun photo ops, playful fun and family joy with the lovable Cheburashka this summer

The beloved Russian national icon and the world-famous, always wobbly Cheburashka will meet kids and adults alike at the Blue Whale Pavilion on the 5th floor of Dream Mall in Kaohsiung from July 20 (Friday) to September 2 (Sunday)!

Cheburashka was adapted from a famous Russian series of picture books into a short animated series in 1996. Over the past 50 years, it has been reimagined in various forms of media and even served as the official mascot for the Russian Olympic team four times. In 2009, Japan remade the animation. This summer, Cheburashka and his friends are here in Kaohsiung to play with everyone.
 
The three main themed exhibition areas are free to enter: “Hello, I’m Cheburashka,” “Cheburashka Town,” and “Circus Park.” In “Hello, I’m Cheburashka,” learn about Cheburashka’s origins and see limited-edition merchandise from Russia. In “Cheburashka Town,” take photos and make memories with Cheburashka. Finally, head to “Circus Park” where, for just NT$50, you can try your luck at ring toss and win exclusive 【Cheburashka pins】 that are not for sale. The interactive displays let both kids and adults have fun with Cheburashka.

After exploring the three exhibition areas, don’t miss the cute and practical merchandise. Not only are there brand-new Kaohsiung Dream Mall exclusives for sale, but you can also get a super valuable limited-edition lucky bag set (originally priced at NT$2,729) for just NT$880 (limited quantity). 1. Children’s Card Exclusive: Cheburashka & Friends Welcome Party
Cheburashka is visiting Dream Mall this summer, and Dream Mall Mimity invites children’s cardholders to welcome the new friend at the Cheburashka Cinema. Online registration only, limited to 100 participants, first come first served.

2. Cheburashka Cinema
Cheburashka will accompany you as you watch the feature film 《Let’s Go to the Zoo》
Event date: 8/12 (Sun) 14:00–15:00
Event location: 8F Performance Hall
How to participate: From 7/20 to 8/10, spend NT$500 or more at the Cheburashka exhibition area to redeem one entry ticket (limited quantity, while supplies last)
Redemption location: 5F Children’s Card Service Counter
 
3. Cheburashka & Mimity Kids’ Fun Day
Kids are invited to play games with Cheburashka and Mimity on-site, with surprise gifts too.

Event location: Next to Tom’s World on the 5th floor
 
4. I’m a Little Nail Artist for a Day
Professional nail artists will guide kids in painting adorable images of Cheburashka.
Event dates: 8/25 (Sat) 13:00–16:00 / 16:30–18:30 (two sessions)
Event capacity: Limited to 15 participants per session
Event location: Life Aesthetics Classroom, 4F, Uni-President Department Store Kaohsiung
Registration fee: 500 TWD (includes 1 bead pen, 1 beechwood stick, 1 palette, 1 Little Nail Artist certificate)
 
5. Little Oil Painter
Pick up a brush, and you can be a little oil painter too — let’s create a cute oil painting of Cheburashka together!
Event date: August 11 (Sun) 14:00–16:00
Number of participants: Limited to 20 people
Venue: In front of the performance hall on the 8th floor at Times Hall
Event fee: 250 TWD (includes material costs)
