Totoro Forest Hidden Gem – Taiwan’s Largest Flatland Park

Situated in Changhua, “Fitzroy Park” is known as “Little Melbourne.” Designed based on Melbourne’s Fitzroy Gardens in Australia, the park utilizes locally unique floral and nursery resources from Changhua to create a vibrant and verdant garden of happiness. Covering an expansive area of 123 hectares—about 4.7 times the size of Taipei’s Da’an Forest Park—it is also the largest flatland park in Taiwan.

The entire park includes the Xizhou Park Area, Nursery Area, and Forest Area. It once hosted the Flower Expo in 2004 (the 93rd year of the Republic of China), where a large-scale floral exhibition area was created. Since then, every Lunar New Year, the park has launched major flower-themed events. The colorful floral displays draw large crowds each year, while the park remains open to the public free of charge outside of event periods.
