Summer Night Highlights at the Art Museum: Tai Chi Arch Light Sculpture Show

This year’s "Summer Night Open" event at the Chu Wei Museum offers free admission every Saturday from now until August 25 between 18:00 and 21:00.
The event has invited designer Xu Zhiming, who previously created a light sculpture show for the Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Wanjin, Pingtung County, to produce this year’s show. It combines Master Chu Wei’s "Tai Chi Series" artwork "The Arch" with light projection, and premieres an interactive light sculpture projection where movements sensed in real-time will alter the projected visuals.
The Chu Wei Museum’s "Summer Night Open" event has been running for 17 years.
After each Saturday night’s light sculpture show, the museum also organizes an “Aerobic Rhythm & Deep Breathing” session, inviting Space Cycle and NID Fitness Studio to offer various workouts including European-style aerobics, yoga, boxing aerobics, and the hottest MOVES from Hollywood. On the final night on August 25, professional instructors from the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre Education Centre will lead a grassy dance party with the Bucha Frog at the Tai Chi Plaza.
This year’s "Tai Chi Arch Light Sculpture Show" introduces an interactive light projection for the first time.
Other exciting activities include the "Animal Street Carnival Party," "Aquatic Music Sports Meet," "Children’s Fun Marathon," and "Artists’ Workshop," providing visitors with great options for summer fun and night scenery viewing.
