A must-visit for hipsters: A century-old red-brick building transformed into a European-style restaurant and art gallery

Trendy things are no longer rare—now it's more popular to breathe new life into old structures. The transformation of traditional houses into homestays, cafés, and cultural spaces, then reopening them to the public, has become a trend.

Even before entering the restaurant, the exterior of the traditional red-brick building is enough to make people stop and take photos. According to the manager, the structure was originally an auxiliary building of the "Liu Family Ancestral Residence – Ranli Mansion" when it was built in 1910, constructed in the style of early British colonial architecture. It was classified as a "third-grade historical site." Later, with meticulous planning and renovation by a professional architectural and design team, it evolved into its current form. Upon entering, the first space serves as an art gallery. The juxtaposition of contemporary art exhibitions against the backdrop of a traditional three-courtyard house creates a contrast that surprisingly feels harmonious.

The interior decoration is primarily based on a European countryside aesthetic, with several abstract paintings hanging on the walls, creating a strong sense of humanistic charm. There are thoughtful details everywhere: bicycles, bamboo baskets, candle holders, potted plants, old sewing machines, vintage typewriters... all very much to the taste of hipsters and extremely photogenic. The menu mainly offers European cuisine, including French and Italian dishes. The restaurant aims to envelop diners in a delightful tableside atmosphere through ingredients, spices, seasonings, and the natural scents of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, inviting them on a journey of food and imagination.
