Taipei’s Hidden Japanese N
Last updated 2026-09-26 — Went to Guanghua Digital Plaza on Thursday to buy camera accessories and thought I’d grab lunch nearby. That’s how I ended up finding this Sato Butcher Shop Akiba tucked away in an alley off Bade Road, right next to Sister’s Charcoal Grill Sandwiches that I introduced before. The shop is located on the second floor, and there’s a sign at the entrance — their specialty is pork belly.

Went to Guanghua Digital Plaza on Thursday to buy camera accessories and thought I’d grab lunch nearby.
That’s how I ended up finding this Sato Butcher Shop Akiba tucked away in an alley off Bade Road, right next to Sister’s Charcoal Grill Sandwiches that I introduced before.
The shop is located on the second floor, and there’s a sign at the entrance — their specialty is pork belly.
As soon as you get to the second-floor entrance, you’ll see this notice — they also use a ordering machine here.
All the seating is at the counter, with some chairs along the wall for waiting, and the ordering machine is just a bit further ahead.
They only have two main dishes here — grilled pork belly N.<饭跟姜汁猪肉N<饭，还有一些配菜跟饮料，点餐机只接受一百元纸钞，跟五十元、十元的硬币，老K那天刚好只有一千元，就要先跟服务人员换钞再去点餐。
They open at 11:30 AM, and Old K was the first customer XD. Ordered a bowl of grilled pork belly N.<饭大碗的，跟一颗温泉蛋，一次会有二张餐券，一张先拿服务人员，另一张等拿到餐点的时侯再给他 。
There’s an additional menu at the seat.
They also offer free bean sprouts that you can help yourself to — the bean sprouts are warm, by the way. They have a bit of sesame oil and black pepper spice, and they’re actually pretty tasty.

The pork belly is super fatty and sizzles with flames XD. Actually, you can smell the aroma of the grilled pork belly even before it’s served because it fills the whole shop, making you salivate while you wait.

Seeing a big pile of grilled pork belly is honestly pretty satisfying. Actually, Old K doesn’t eat grilled pork belly all that often.<饭，但不是说不喜欢吃五花肉，而且一般去吃N<饭的时侯，老K都会优先选择牛肉N<饭XD像这样只卖五花肉的还真少见呀！这样其实也不错，不用费心去选择要吃什么XD
Time to dig in. Where should I start eating from?
Let’s try three slices at a time XD. As soon as it enters your mouth, the aroma of the grilled meat instantly fills your entire mouth. The sauce is a bit salty, but not overwhelmingly so — Old K thought it was pretty good. The pork belly is soft, Q-textured, bouncy, and has a great chew. The texture is really excellent, especially the slightly charred parts which add a bit of crispness, enriching the mouthfeel. Old K really likes it.
Onsen egg (NT$20)
Let’s add an onsen egg.
I originally wanted to pour it in the middle, but accidentally knocked it to the side XD.
You definitely have to break the yolk.
It actually tastes even better now.
The grilled pork belly with egg yolk drizzle gets extra egg fragrance and a rich, smooth texture — it’s even tastier.
Had to flip through two layers before seeing the rice — there really is a lot of grilled pork belly.
The rice is okay — it pairs really well with the grilled pork belly and egg yolk, making it super appetizing. The rice tones down the saltiness of the pork belly, making it easy to keep eating bite after bite. But Old K feels like one onsen egg is a bit too little — should’ve gotten two for an even more satisfying meal XD.
Old K’s little tip: Grilled pork belly N.<饭老K还满喜欢，一般男生大碗就可以吃满饱的，如果真的食量不大还有MINI可以选。来这里很简单，就是喜欢吃五花肉，不爱吃肥肉的朋友就不适合了，如果爱吃烤肉又爱肥肉的朋友，一定要来试试哦。
