1. Tomita Farm
Tomita Farm is a flower farm located in Furano, renowned for its expansive lavender fields and often referred to as the “Provence of the East.” It also grows other varieties of flowers such as poppies and chrysanthemums. In summer, the vibrant colors of the blooming flowers make this farm a popular tourist destination and a must-visit spot when traveling in Hokkaido.

2. North z fennel? Lingshan Zhan?? / strong>
North z fennel? Lingshan Zhan?? is embedded in a vast 3-hectare flower field where about 1.3 million sunflowers bloom, creating a magnificent yellow carpet. The field is open from early July to peak bloom in early August each year, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually. During this period, the “Sunflower Festival” is held, featuring activities such as the “Sunflower Tour Bus” and a “Giant Sunflower Maze.”

3. Blue Pond
Much like Iceland’s Blue Lagoon hot springs, the formation of Biei’s Blue Pond was a beautiful accident. Five kilometers away from the pond lies Mount Tokachidake, an active volcano. Although dangerous, the volcano enriches the region with thermal springs and breathtaking scenery that have long drawn travelers.

4. Lake Mashu
Located in eastern Hokkaido, Japan, Lake Mashu once recorded a water transparency of 41.6 meters in 1931—the highest in the world at the time. On clear days, the lake showcases its unique blue hue, earning it the nickname “Sapphire of Mashu.” The lake is also famous for its frequent mist cover.
