A beloved flavor that has graced the local scene for fifty years, Lizhu Mixed Noodles in Wanhua, Taipei, is expected to close its doors at the end of June. Popular dishes such as the rich, twelve-hour-braised broth Mixed Noodles, crispy pork chops, stir-fried rice noodles, crispy squid, and quick-stir-fried seafood trio will all vanish by the end of the month.

In addition to its popular Mixed Noodles made with a broth simmered from old hens, Lizhu’s crispy pork chops are also a customer favorite — juicy on the inside with a perfectly crisp exterior, well-seasoned and fried to just the right degree. Paired with the Mixed Noodles, it’s simply divine, but sadly, it may not be enjoyed again in the future.

There are also many side dishes to choose from.

Since the owner cooks everything to order, diners not only have to wait patiently in line for a seat at the entrance, but also for their meals once seated. Even so, the lineup outside is still long when it’s mealtime.
