Free picking of 100,000 golden sunflowers available now – One-day tour to the Sunflower Farm

As the hot summer arrives, the brilliant sunflowers are also in full bloom. Located in Hualien, the HuiLan Bay Happy Farm has created a sea of over 10,000 sunflowers covering 4 hectares within its 45-hectare park. When they are in full bloom, the scene resembles a golden-yellow floral carpet, spectacular and enchanting.

HuiLan Bay Farm opens its fields for free flower picking twice a year, around February to March and June to July. This year’s second opening is on June 24 at 7 AM, inviting visitors to enjoy the flowers and pick them, with up to 60,000 sunflowers available to take home for free.

Since HuiLan Bay began allowing visitors to pick flowers, it has received widespread praise. Many visitors use the sunflowers they bring home as decorations to beautify restaurants and residences, adding warm summer hues. Many netizens also take photos by the coast with the flowers, where the beautiful scenery paired with the bright blooms creates a delightful and charming atmosphere.

The farm covers a large area. In addition to the magnificent sunflower fields, the park also features ponds, vast farmland, and many animals including sika deer, flamingos, Formosan serows, and horses, all of which can be viewed and interacted with up close for free, making it a great leisure spot for holidays.
