The nostalgic Pingxi Line area boasts abundant ecological resources and heartwarming hands-on experiences. 1. Wanggu Station – Wanggu Waterfall
Wanggu Station is the most mysterious train station on the Pingxi Line. Most visitors stop at Zhifen, Pingxi, and Jingting stations, and fewer stay at Wanggu. Ever since netizens and photography enthusiasts captured views here resembling Studio Ghibli scenes, it has become a popular filming spot.

After getting off at Wanggu Station, take a roughly 15-minute walk along the Wanggu Waterfall Trail to admire the Wanggu Waterfall Cluster. This trail is part of the historic Wanggu Ancient Trail, refurbished by New Taipei City’s Tourism and Travel Bureau, making it perfect for exploration with family, friends, or loved ones.

2. Lingjiao Station – Tsai Family Mansion
The bay-style platform of Lingjiao Station is quite picturesque, having served as a filming location for many dramas. The site features numerous historical relics, including coal transport facilities, a Japanese-era mining dormitory museum, and the Tsai Family Mansion, all exuding a strong historical vibe. There’s also the Lingjiao Liao Hiking Trail where you can enjoy rich natural ecosystems.

The Tsai Family Mansion behind Lingjiao Station is a beautiful red-brick building that has been featured in numerous TV dramas. Particularly, its arched veranda and spacious courtyard make it ideal for shooting nostalgic scenes from the 1930s and 1940s.
