Taichung has a new photo-worthy attraction — Rainbow Mountain House in Shihkang District. Combining a homestay with a restaurant and themed around rainbows, it features rainbow-colored buildings, rainbow pencils, black-and-white piano-key stairs, and most noticeably, a giant pair of legs installation set against higher ground, offering a view of the plains and distant mountains.

Rainbow Mountain House is designed around a rainbow theme. Not only is the entrance adorned with a full wall of colored pencils, adding a playful touch, but the pencil tips also serve as anti-theft features, making it the most eye-catching landmark in the Shihkang countryside. A large legs installation stands prominently on the exterior wall of the homestay reception area.
