Vast sunflower fields shine brightly—the new hotspot for flower viewing at Xiangyang Farm

As the scorching summer approaches, brilliant sunflowers are blooming vigorously. Located in Taoyuan, Xiangyang Farm spans 18,000 pyeong and is the largest sunflower-themed farm in northern Taiwan. From May to October each year, it’s the sunflower blooming season, with rows of flowers taller than people forming vast golden-yellow fields—a spectacular sight.

Xiangyang Farm cultivates over ten varieties of sunflowers, and the golden-yellow fields look like a painting under the sunlight. The farm was established by a young graduate from Pingtung University of Science and Technology’s Department of Horticultural Production Technology. Driven by a passion for horticulture and the land, he founded Xiangyang Farm to produce cut sunflowers and realize his dream.

Currently in the peak sunflower blooming period, the flowering season lasts until around October, and the park offers free admission. In addition to its expansive seasonal flower fields, the farm also features a wood-fired oven area, outdoor learning activities, DIY fun, souvenirs, and a themed restaurant.

Besides the vast sunflower fields, the farm also grows natural dried strawflowers. Paired with freshly bloomed sunflowers, they create a colorful and vibrant floral landscape—perfect for visitors to enjoy on a weekend trip.
