Taking photos is a crucial part of travel, and it's not just about capturing great portraits — landscapes and food shots matter too. There are hundreds of techniques for taking good photos, and mastering them all can be tough. But you can start by remembering the photo-spoiling pitfalls.

1. Wrong shooting angle
One of the most important factors in photography is the angle. A good angle can make a person look slimmer, food more appetizing, and scenery more captivating, while a bad angle can make you appear shorter, fatter, or less attractive. Different situations also call for different angles — for full-body shots, try shooting from below, or shoot downward for upper-body shots to make the face look smaller.

2. Poor facial expression capture
Always press the shutter when your subject is ready, even for very natural poses. If the expression isn’t right, it’s hard to create a beautiful atmosphere.

3. Unrefined posing
Posing can enhance a person’s figure and create different vibes, including crossing your legs, extending toward the frame, or adjusting hand placement.

4. Photo spatial proportion
Leaving appropriate negative space makes the overall composition more pleasant. Overfilling the frame can feel cramped, and it becomes difficult to adjust lighting and angles for your main subject.
