The romantic scene of pink cherry blossom petals falling like rain in Japanese dramas is surely familiar to many. But did you know Taiwan has its own dreamy version? The Beauty Tree Avenue in Huwei, Yunlin, is breathtakingly beautiful. Strolling along the two-kilometer-long pink avenue feels like time standing still, making autumn—the crisp and clear season—perfect for couples seeking a pink-themed date.

Beauty trees belong to the same family as kapok trees, but compared to kapok, they have smaller leaves and a more delicate tree shape, earning them the lovely name “Beauty Tree.” They are also called “Bottle Kapok” due to the uniquely shaped trunks. The flowering season is around late autumn to early winter, when pink blooms cover the branches. With a hint of chill in the air and autumn blue skies with white clouds in the background, the scene becomes even more poetic.

This pink wonderland is located near the Agricultural Expo Park in Huwei, Yunlin. Beauty trees stand neatly along both sides of the pedestrian path, and as petals fall one by one, they form the most romantic pink avenue. Visiting on a weekend by car, and freely strolling through this sea of flowers, can fill you with abundant happiness and energy.
