When it comes to the Lantan Scenic Area in Chiayi, one must mention its signature fountain water dance show. But not long ago, a new landmark decorative art piece, "Moon Shadow Over the Lake," was added, allowing visitors to enjoy not only the beautiful water dance at night but also take photos with this unique artwork during the day.

Created by artist Wang Wen-zhi, "Moon Shadow Over the Lake" uses hollow woven aluminum sheets as the main material, supported by tree-trunk-like frames. From a distance, its overall shape resembles a bird’s nest, blending harmoniously with the surrounding woods and nature. During the day, you can climb onto the structure to enjoy views of Lantan’s scenic beauty through the aluminum panels, and at night, you can witness the dazzling water dance from above. It’s also a great spot for capturing stunning artistic photos—truly killing multiple birds with one stone.

Whether day or night, the Lantan Scenic Area is always bustling with people. The chic daytime scenery complements the dreamy glow of the night. This distinctive artwork is similar in spirit to the "Song of the Forest" near Chiayi Cultural Center, making them two major nighttime highlights of Chiayi.
