Hey!!! Are you still taking your kids to plastic slides in the park?? There’s a big and unique slide here in Yilan!!
Visiting on a weekday is really relaxing—no wonder Yilan is such a favorite spot for people from northern Taiwan. Little Pink Ball and Little Taro had an absolute blast here, running around until they were drenched in sweat. Taro didn’t even want to leave when it was time to go!!!
Longtan Lake is really quite large and the environment is beautiful, but I think it’s not as popular as Meihua Lake. There’s only one bike rental shop, yet it feels very peaceful.
You can see geese and ducks by the river from afar, and egrets resting on the grassland. The vast view is refreshing, and it’s also reassuring to let kids run freely around the area.
The riverside path has been landscaped with winding wooden boardwalks.
It takes about five minutes to walk from the parking lot at the entrance to this one-of-a-kind slide in Taiwan. There are no stairs—this slide is built along the slope, giving it a natural feel. Kids can run around freely without worrying about falling, though it’s not so great for wearing skirts here XDXD
Pink Ball and Taro had a great time playing, so Dad, wearing pants, stepped up to be the “slideboard” for the little ones—it was awesome. Once the two got the hang of it, they went full speed mode…
This photo was taken from the top of the slide—isn’t the view beautiful?
The older one slides, the younger one learns by copying—and their bond grows stronger as they learn quickly too.
