Located on Nanhua 1st Street in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, “PRIMO SOLE 阳果” is a truly unique restaurant. The owner used to work in American department stores and traveled across four continents for her job, giving her the chance to experience a wide variety of international cuisines. After retiring, she was suddenly inspired to turn those flavorful memories into a physical restaurant, which led to the creation of “PRIMO SOLE 阳果”!

The Italian name of the shop, “il PRIMO SOLE e mio,” means that everyone has their own first ray of sunlight at sunrise — a feeling of small but genuine happiness. This is also the vibe the owner hopes to bring to her guests. By using high-quality ingredients from around the world and drawing on her personal taste memories, she offers every visitor a little daily joy!

“PRIMO SOLE 阳果” is located on Nanhua 1st Street in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, tucked away in a lane on the right side of Zhongyue Guobao Community. The storefront is very low-key yet tasteful — don’t miss it when you walk by!

“PRIMO SOLE 阳果” specializes in handmade bread, brunch, pizza, burgers, panini sandwiches, pasta, soups, salads, cakes, and pies, offering quite an extensive menu!

The ground floor of the restaurant features a European-style decor and a relaxed ambiance. There are not many seats downstairs — just one large table and one square table. The walls are adorned with hand-painted Dutch landscapes commissioned by the owner, which look incredibly lifelike, almost transporting you to another country!

The upstairs area of the restaurant offers both lunch and dinner menus, all of which are homemade by the owner.

The second floor also has a European-style decor and provides some background information about the dishes. Those who are interested can ask the staff for recommendations.

The second floor also displays the daily baked bread schedule, special dishes of the week, and more on a blackboard — perfect for those who love trying new things. Additionally, pizzas, afternoon tea sets, and finger sandwiches were added later and aren’t yet on the menu, so you can simply ask for them directly when ordering!

There’s another dining space worth mentioning — the basement. The staircase down has plenty of magazines to browse, and the paintings on the walls are items available for consignment. Feel free to ask the owner if you’re interested!

The basement has a more private atmosphere and even features a larger TV screen, ideal for enjoying sports games or travel shows. You could easily spend hours here without getting bored.

The place also offers delivery services, although it’s best enjoyed in person. Even if you just want to stop by for coffee or a light bite, it’s a great choice.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and the prices are quite reasonable!

Their brunch sets come with toast, eggs, or ham, and you can customize your order as you like. There are also cold drink options, with fruit punch being the set beverage — you can choose from three options!

You can also build your own set by choosing a main dish, side, and drink to suit your taste.

There are also salad sets, hot dog sets, Italian cuisine sets, and various other sandwich combinations. The most special is the panini sandwich set designed specifically for girls — it includes half a panini, a drink (or soup or salad), perfect for those with smaller appetites!

There are also sets featuring steak, pasta, Greek cuisine, and pizza. The steak set also comes with an additional two types of pasta. There’s even a burger set too!

Among the soups, the recommended ones are the vegetable soup (NT$60) and mushroom cappuccino soup (NT$60).Each soup comes with a side of homemade bread, making for a fairly generous portion.

The grilled chicken set is made with marinated chicken, bacon, corn, peas, and carrots, served with a creamy mushroom sauce — visually appealing and delicious. The grilled chicken is juicy and flavorful, while the mashed potatoes are silky smooth and rich. The mushroom sauce has a deep umami taste that complements the chicken perfectly.

Another standout is the egg salad + smoked sausage panini (NT$185).By the way, the bread used for the panini is also homemade by the shop — amazing work. It comes with a side of lettuce and fries, offering both good portion size and balanced nutrition.

The shop’s handmade breads have a lovely chewy texture, and their crusts become extra crispy and fragrant after being baked in the oven.

The smoked sausage panini is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with an aromatic egg salad that’s not too moist — full of egg flavor. The smoked sausage isn’t overly strong but still has a nice bounce to it. Together, they offer multiple layers of texture and harmonious flavors. The salad is dressed with yogurt, offering a mildly tangy and sweet taste that’s really appetizing. The fries are super crispy — just the way we like them!

Another highlight is the white wine mustard braised sirloin (NT$399).They specially use lean sirloin, paired with a white wine mustard sauce, and served over egg tagliatelle — a very unique presentation!

The flavor is not greasy at all, offering a taste reminiscent of Italian cuisine. The egg tagliatelle soaks up the rich sauce, delivering a delicate hint of wine and a unique mustard aroma — definitely a delightful surprise.

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a good chewy and elastic texture, these are served with a side of cream that enhances the aroma— the more you chew, the more flavorful it becomes!

The pork belly is marinated and grilled for three hours, then topped with onion sauce. On the side is a refreshing and appetizing lettuce salad with avocado dressing.

Pork ribs with costal meat (495 TWD)The pork ribs with cartilage are marinated and grilled for three hours, then topped with onion sauce. On the side is a lettuce salad with avocado dressing, which is quite refreshing and appetizing!

The pickled cucumber is also a classic side dish here. Paired with the pork, it cuts through the richness nicely.

The pickled radish is another highlight here. It adds a nice tangy crunch that complements the richness of the pork.

The seasoning here is really well-balanced. The flavors of sweet and salty penetrate every bite, and when paired with the restaurant’s specially made rib sauce with caramelized onions, it’s even more delicious. The cartilage parts of the ribs are slow-cooked until they’re soft enough to melt in your mouth—definitely some of the best pork ribs we’ve had recently!

Louisiana Cajun black fish (350 TWD)The restaurant has specially recreated the spicy catfish dish traditionally prepared by the Cajun people, an ethnic minority in the U.S., served with a side of avocado coleslaw that’s also quite generous in portion!

The catfish is tender and juicy, with a crispy exterior.

The seasoning gives it a unique flavor—slightly spicy with a hint of smokiness. There’s no fishy taste at all, and it’s incredibly tasty. The black fish has a slight spiciness and a distinctive aromatic spice flavor, making it very flavorful and delicious. It’s also a rather unique taste that we don’t often get to try!

Cotton Egg (30 TWD)Because we were so curious about what a “cotton egg” was, we decided to order it to try!

The so-called cotton egg is actually a salted egg yolk wrapped around a quail egg, then deep-fried until golden and crispy. It looks just like a cotton ball from afar!

When you take a bite, the texture is surprisingly light and fluffy. The yolk is not overly salty, and once you reach the center, it’s still runny—very rich and flavorful. It’s not overly greasy either, but has a uniquely rich taste that’s quite special.

Cheeseburger (with fries / 277 TWD)It comes with an 8-ounce Japanese beef patty, homemade burger bun, iceberg lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions. On the side, there’s a large portion of fries in addition to the veggies—very generous!

The buns are freshly baked every day, and the patty is also made in-house. The combination of the fresh bun and juicy patty is really satisfying.

We ordered it medium-rare, and the patty is incredibly juicy. The meat is very tender and moist, and the various types of lettuce add a refreshing crunch. The grilled onions are not at all harsh but instead sweet and mild, adding a nice aromatic touch!

Egg Milk Pudding (65 TWD, or 49 TWD if you drink it in-store without taking the bottle)It’s served with sea salt caramel sauce—don’t underestimate this special sauce, as it really elevates the flavor!

The texture of the pudding is very smooth and silky, and it’s not overly sweet. The contrast between the creamy pudding and the slightly salty caramel is just right, making it hard to stop at one bite. It’s also not too heavy, leaving you feeling refreshed.

Chocolate Mousse (95 TWD)The texture is delicate and smooth, with a rich chocolate flavor—definitely a hit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Espresso-drenched Vanilla Ice Cream (115 TWD)At first glance, it might not seem like much, but it’s surprisingly delicious!

Freshly poured espresso is drizzled over vanilla ice cream. The rich and bold espresso perfectly complements the smooth and sweet vanilla ice cream—it’s not only aromatic but also creates a wonderful contrast between the warm coffee and cool ice cream in your mouth. The taste is simply marvelous!

Brownies (2 pieces / 90 TWD)Their desserts are all homemade, and both the texture and flavors are of a pretty high standard!

The brownie is made with French Valrhona chocolate, giving it a deep and rich chocolate flavor with a slight crunch.

% The blueberry pie (140 TWD) has a faint aroma of tobacco that lingers on the palate.

% The apple pie (125 TWD), with its generous chunks of apple, flaky crust, and cinnamon aroma, is delightfully tangy, sweet, and bursting with flavor.

% Blueberry Pie (140 TWD), made with fresh American blueberries and ingredients like yogurt, is slightly heated before serving; it has a crispy exterior, a moist interior, and offers a unique, subtly tangy and smooth taste—quite different from regular blueberry pies.

% Apple Pie (125 TWD), filled with plenty of apple pieces, paired with a crispy crust and the fragrance of cinnamon, is delightfully tangy, sweet, and aromatic.

The dining space at “PRIMO SOLE 阳果” is bright and spacious, offering a variety of handmade meals such as bread, brunch, pizza, burgers, panini sandwiches, pasta, soups, salads, cakes, and pies—most of which are homemade. The restaurant carefully selects ingredients from around the world and incorporates the culinary delights gathered by the owner during her travels, creating uniquely wonderful international dishes.

Dishes like ribs, panini sandwiches, and Cajun blackened fish are particularly special and delicious, according to our reviewer, and other items also meet high standards. Additionally, treats like egg custard with sea salt caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream with espresso instantly won us over. Dining here not only satisfies your taste buds but also provides great relaxation and little moments of joy in life. For dinner, there are six main course options, and candles are lit on the tables for a romantic candlelit dinner experience. What’s more, there’s no time limit on your meal, and power outlets are available—you can stay as long as you like. It’s truly wonderful—we highly recommend it. Those interested should give it a try; you might just find a dish that leaves a lasting impression.
