Remember the wildly popular Taiwanese idol drama "Green Forest" from 10 years ago? Though the show has ended, the elementary school built specifically for the series not only still exists but remains preserved as a unique attraction in the Maoluu Forest. In addition to its wooden log cabin classrooms, the school also features tree-swing sets and a small playground—perfect for immersing yourself in nature’s lessons amidst the forest’s rich phytoncides.

Inside the compact classrooms, everything from blackboards and podiums to desks and chairs is intact. Gazing out the windows, you’re surrounded by towering trees—a surreal sense of tranquility. This forest elementary school is located in the Maoluu Discovery Forest in Hsinchu. After the filming of the idol drama "Green Forest" wrapped up, it was preserved as a distinctive site beyond the forest trails. The small playground outside the log cabin classroom includes a miniature log house and swings, letting kids experience their own “recess time” in the woods.

Maoluu Discovery Forest itself has an impressive backstory—it's actually the filming location for the Taiwanese movie "Seediq Bale." As you walk through this ancient, majestic woodland, you can enjoy the interplay of sunlight filtering through the leaves and take in the lush green surroundings. The forest also features rushing streams and waterfalls, making it a wonderfully relaxing and scenic trail to explore.
