Family Travel Insurance Here – Enjoy Cooking, Hot Springs, and Scenic Views with Peace of Mind

Over the past year, the Japanese yen has depreciated, and many friends and family around me have shifted their annual travel plans to Japan. Coupled with more and more budget airlines flying to popular tourist spots in Japan like Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa, this has also boosted the number of travelers to Japan. During special deals from budget airlines, a round-trip flight for a family of four could cost just under NT$20,000. Traveling to Japan has become the top choice for many families going abroad.

Last year, for example, I took Little Taro and my mother-in-law to Nagoya and Shirakawa-go, and went shopping and explored ancient cities in Kyoto and Osaka with two aunts. Both destinations are perfect for family trips.

Nagoya’s unique breakfast culture and famous chicken wing dishes, along with the breathtakingly beautiful gassho-style villages in winter that look like a fairy tale world, transform into a different kind of adorable scenery in spring~~

Osaka’s Universal Studios is a place loved by both kids and adults, and the charming beauty of Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capital, is the reason I keep coming back—there are so many UNESCO World Heritage Sites here that amaze me with how well Japan preserves its cultural history and architecture.

Along the way, we enjoyed kaiseki cuisine, hot springs, and scenic views~~ leaving behind incredibly wonderful memories. I was truly happy~~ ((sparkles))

Of course, traveling safely and happily is also a very important part of any trip, especially!!

But last year, two incidents happened abroad in a row, and I realized I had been wrong XD~ I usually only purchased overseas accident insurance and didn’t include international medical coverage because I thought short-term travel wouldn’t require any medical attention…

Earlier this year, Mr. Gong

In March, when I went to Tokyo, it got really scary… I came down with hepatitis… while in Japan!!

But actually, I didn’t realize there was something wrong with my body. It wasn’t until I returned to Taiwan and started feeling increasingly unwell, then went to see a doctor, that I understood how serious it was. I was hospitalized in Taiwan for six days, which cost quite a bit. Just imagine if I had received medical treatment in Japan—the medical expenses would have been… ((unthinkable!!))

When I traveled to Nagoya with my child in September, I couldn’t overlook this point at all and kept reminding my mother-in-law and aunts not to forget to buy insurance~~

For people like us who travel abroad frequently, before setting off, we’re often so busy trying to make the trip smooth and enjoyable that we forget what kind of insurance we’ve even bought. Not to mention, in situations like lost luggage or flight delays, even if you have travel insurance, most people might not know the details of their coverage or fail to obtain the relevant information in time, thus losing out on their rightful claims.

Now, Cathay has launched the “Cathay Travel Guardian App.” After downloading it to your phone and simply logging in your basic details, all your insurance policy information will be clearly displayed in the app.

The “Cathay Travel Guardian App” provides clear guidance for everyone!!

Non-Cathay policyholders can also use the “Cathay Travel Guardian App” because

it offers a luggage checklist to help you record and check your belongings at any time. It also includes a “Travel Contacts” feature where you can add relevant contact numbers for easy access.
