Since becoming parents and raising children, we’ve come to better understand the importance of educational approaches. In this era of explosive knowledge and rapid information flow, children have an endless thirst for learning. Beyond the knowledge taught in school, we often take our kids to the nearby library to borrow books for reading, but these are mostly two-dimensional facts, not something they can physically interact with. Why not take advantage of holidays to spend more time outdoors as a family? Aside from soaking up some sunshine, hands-on experiences allow for deeper empathy and understanding. We even had the chance to join the “Kinder Joy” event — “Kinder Family Outdoor Fun” — where the whole family ventured outside to learn firsthand about our favorite “Kinder Joy chocolate.”

By the time our two little ones finished their after-school tutoring, it was already evening. At this time, kids tend to be more active, often feeling hungry around 4 or 5 p.m. Concerned that hunger might affect their ability to learn, we picked up “Kinder Joy Crispino” as a snack during our supermarket run. The kids really took to it, and it gradually became their go-to choice when hunger strikes. With a deliciously creamy milk filling and five light, tasty grains — barley, rice, wheat, spelt, and buckwheat — it offers more nutritional value than other similar products. It’s also super convenient to bring to school as an afternoon snack.

The “Kinder Family Outdoor Fun” event spanned a full day, using fun and joyful methods to help both kids and adults learn about the rich nutritional benefits of Crispino in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The day featured six fun challenge stations — kids especially love games that test their skills. The morning focused on a visit to the East Sea Ranch, while the afternoon was spent at the Crispino Mini School.

The dairy expert explained that a cow’s first milk, known as colostrum, is reserved for calves to boost their immunity — but it only works for calves, not humans. Regular cow’s milk is sufficient for the calcium and nutrients our bodies need.

At noon, all the cows gather here to munch on hay. The barn has massive fans — cows must really dislike the heat. This well-ventilated and cozy living environment ensures they eat and sleep well. After tasting the milk here, it’s easy to see why it’s so rich and delicious. According to the expert, cows don’t just eat hay; they’re also fed a mix of feed such as corn, tofu residue, and cottonseed meal, which helps them grow strong and healthy. Plus, each cow is milked every twelve hours on a strict schedule to prevent illness — their daily routines are more disciplined than ours.

Milk contains protein, lipids, and minerals. For growing children, drinking milk supplements calcium and nutrients. Milk also includes various essential vitamins, helping every child who drinks it grow up healthy. The farm-produced dairy has a rich and creamy taste. Though not as sweet as flavored milk, its mellow flavor makes it so delicious that kids finish it in no time.

Next, it’s time to head to the next stop — the Crispino Mini School. Up we go~~

The wheat expert shared knowledge about wheat farming. To help the kids retain what they learned, there was an interactive Q&A session after the explanation — of course, correct answers earned small prizes, and everyone eagerly rushed to answer and claim rewards.

There was also a tasting of the product “Kinder Joy Crispino.” The outer layer is made of rich milk and chocolate, with the milk 100% sourced from Europe. The filling contains five crunchy, tasty grains: barley, rice, wheat, spelt, and buckwheat, which help keep kids full and stave off minor hunger pangs. Each pack is individually wrapped, making it convenient to carry and enjoy.

Inside, the grains are part of a naturally healthy chocolate snack. You can see big pieces of grainy popcorn in the chocolate. When you bite into the grain-filled chocolate, the texture is delightfully crispy — not just loved by kids, but enjoyed by adults too.

Stepping into the Crispino Mini School, we were instantly drawn to the adorable straw dolls. Little did we know we’d get to make our own. The most anticipated DIY time had arrived. Holding foam glue, we stuck pieces onto the wheat ears — just a few simple items created surprisingly expressive faces. Adding two eyes and a nose brought a great sense of accomplishment to the kids and helped train their patience.

Being in the wheat field, of course, meant experiencing the hard work of farmers. The expert taught us planting techniques and knowledge.
Seeing the “seven” hand gesture meant we were practicing sowing seeds — you can’t scatter too much at once or it’ll all clump in one spot. The expert demonstrated the common motions, and it was fun to see how every kid looked like a little farmer.

Each team then competed in a wheat stalk-pushing race. Though everyone ended up sweaty, the whole family worked together, playing and bonding.

Finally, there was an awards ceremony — of course, every child received a prize, along with a personalized certificate of honor. It was so much fun to play and get gifts.

In the end, we sat on the wheat stalks for a big group photo. The whole family went out together, played through the challenge stations, got some exercise, and strengthened our bonds.

All parents hope to ensure their children grow up happily. Just like Kinder, which centers its creations around kids to develop different delicious products, today’s Kinder Family Outdoor Fun experience was absolutely wonderful. Beyond the DIY and hands-on activities, there was also a comprehensive introduction to ecology. The organizers put a lot of heart into every little detail. We gained a wealth of knowledge and precious memories throughout the day.
