After the Dragon Boat Festival, it feels like there are nine suns in the sky every day, so most of our recent outings have had to be indoors—haven’t been to the park in ages!(Actually, it's just that mom can't handle sunlight.)

Happening to accompany someone to the airport, Miss Crystal wore a dress and looked lovely for the first time in her life. Although the dress was a gift from Sister Bear, it looked absolutely stunning on her. Her roommate immediately turned into “Little Jade Dad” mode, snapping photos nonstop all day.

We unexpectedly discovered that “Songshan Airport” is actually a great place for parenting and leisure. (Wait, what did I just say?) It has many baby-friendly facilities, and the observation deck is on the 3rd floor.

Little miss, please don’t flirt with the nurse—you’re supposed to go to the next room to change your diaper.

It even features parent-child interactive games.

The observation deck is located on the 3rd floor.

Because the sun was too strong and there weren’t many people around, the Bravo Coffee Restaurant inside was quite crowded. There are also tourist stamps to collect nearby and airplane models to admire.

Compared to the “Binjiang Street” airplane-viewing hotspot, it’s much more convenient to get to here!Plus, the glass curtains make it safer for little ones.

If you don’t like coffee, there’s also Mos Burger on the 2nd floor, which kids just can’t resist. Crystal even tried fast food for the first time—and, of course, she loved the fries.

The floor of the departure lounge is carpeted, which is “super cozy” (or should I say, very slip-prone?). Little ones can practice walking without disturbing other travelers.

Watching him walk around with such confidence, it’s like he really knows what he’s doing.

Daddy got tired and found a chair to sit in among the crowd. This little one walked around in circles—once, twice, three times, four times—and somehow always managed to find her way back to her dad. (Does she really remember where he is?)

Highly recommend this anti-lost bag we brought back from overseas—it’s super useful! Our 1-year-and-4-month-old “precious one” spent nearly 70% of the time from 10:30 to 12:30 walking around the floor due to flight delays. Even when she was crawling around barefoot in socks, the first-floor lobby floor was surprisingly clean. When we washed the socks later, we were shocked to find hardly any dirt on them! The cleaning staff at Songshan Airport really deserve praise.

After completing the task of seeing someone off, we drove to the pre-booked Songshan Parent-Child Center. The location of the Songshan Parent-Child Center can only be accessed by bus or by driving and taking a taxi. There’s a paid parking lot at the center (I vaguely remember it’s about 30 NTD/hour), and there are many luxury private cars parked there. (It must be the gathering spot for well-off families in Minsheng Community.)

The Songshan Parent-Child Center is run by the Child Welfare League Foundation. Though it’s free, the service is five stars. Like other parent-child centers, socks are required!Ladies and gentlemen, put your socks on!No exceptions!(It’s super important, hence the triple reminder.)

Once inside, a staff member will give you a tour of the environment—this is an extra “showcase” that other parent-child centers don’t offer. I’ve read articles from other bloggers before, but it seems the center has been “upgraded,” leaving this mommy feeling completely amazed. The design theme is centered around Peter Pan.

On top of that, we happened to catch a free lecture today, which made me feel like today was truly my lucky day!

So far, I’ve visited a total of 9 parent-child centers, and Songshan is currently my No. 1 in my heart. Although in terms of baby toilet convenience, my favorite is still Xinyi Parent-Child Center, this place also has a dedicated faucet for babies to wash their bottoms!Hehe. So overall, this place is currently undisputedly ranked first. The pictures below will tell the story better.

Baby area for children under 1 year old, as shown:

In terms of comfort, it’s in the top three among the 9 parent-child centers. There are several suitable toys that you don’t have to buy separately! There’s an arched design on top that gives the feeling of being in mommy’s belly—just then, a mommy who had just finished her full moon visit brought her little prince to experience it.

There’s a large air purifier stationed nearby.

Rough Nurse & NG Sisters Training Camp.

The baby washing machine below can actually fit clothes and spin them, which made this mommy want to buy one on the spot!

This set is a chic makeup area with plenty of bottles and jars.

There are two outfits—one yellow and one pink—for the little ones to dress up as little chefs. Daddy and mommy were amazed and thought they were super “cute.”

The kitchenware set is also unique, with plenty of small props and “seasoning thingamajigs.”

Simulated obstacle course and frog-crawl area, along with a “leap through the dragon gate” kick zone.

The area for ages 0–6 will be closed if there are events taking place. Many of the photos below were taken during my second visit.

A stone-paved path and a fishing pond. (Walking on the Jiutao Trail was really quite thrilling!)

Once you've caught a fish, you can immediately gather firewood nearby to cook it. Worried that seafood alone might not be enough? There's also a cornfield where you can pick your own veggies to add to the meal.

Captain Hook’s pirate ship, which even has a hidden treasure chest—super whimsical and playful. (Even mom felt her heart melt.)

We found the treasure but can't open it—Daddy, come help quickly.

In addition to the large Captain Hook pirate ship, there’s also Peter Pan’s treehouse. It has a very “cozy” vibe—cool and not stuffy—and has a few children’s books inside. Daddy said he’d love to build one at home too. (No idea how though!)

Behind the pirate ship is the Seven Beautiful Mermaids Sea (hey, don’t make up the name yourself!). Big kids can stack blocks here and play "something or other." There are three Peter Pan costumes, as well as fairy dresses and wings—super photogenic.

The toddler area.

An Indian-style tent.

This little ball activity area in front of the nursing room—my little sister loved it too, playing there for nearly ten minutes while mommy got a well-deserved break.

The restroom here is second only to the Xinyi Parent-Child Center, and even the "hook" handle is adorable—it’s in the shape of Doraemon, my favorite.

It also makes it easy for moms to rinse their babies’ bottoms here. I think everyone can relate—if you’re out and about and your little one has a “golden moment,” you can’t always clean them up. Not being able to rinse properly is such an awkward situation, right?

The design of the showerheads is truly super important.

My little sister also had a great time in this educational game area, though not with all the games—it’s more suitable for slightly older kids.

Today’s visit was entirely free (because daddy’s wallet is currently in recovery mode). Even though it was totally FREE, it was incredibly good value, which is why I’m immediately sharing this article to recommend it to everyone.

The saying “you get what you pay for” really doesn’t apply to the Taipei City Parent-Child Center. I really hope other districts in New Taipei City can follow suit too. “Grandpa Zhu,” can you hear us?

About Up!, today...

1. Make sure to have saline solution in your first aid kit.
2. Do not use iodine tincture on baby’s scraped wounds—use it on dad instead. Or, if you do use iodine tincture, follow up by wiping with saline solution.
3. For burns, unless life-threatening, first rinse or soak in cold water for 20 minutes to reduce the heat.
4. After that, soak gauze in saline solution, cover the wound, and then seek medical attention.
5. When performing the Heimlich maneuver on a baby, be sure to protect their cervical spine—otherwise, even if you save them, it might be...
