I mean, Sister Xi has totally fallen back into the animated world of Master Hayao Miyazaki again!???,Super excited to say!
So pumped, today Sister Xi specially went to the famous attraction “Totoro Station” located on Qiaocheng Road in Dali, Taichung. This spot became an instant hit five years ago, attracting large crowds of Totoro fans every holiday. But over time, the excitement has started to fade, and the hype is naturally not as strong as when it first appeared. To be honest, the site isn’t very big, but if you’re a Totoro fan or a fan of Miyazaki’s animations, visiting here can definitely satisfy your desire to immerse yourself in the world!
Huh? Since the craze has died down a bit, why did Sister Xi still go out of her way to come here?

And at the "Totoro Station," in addition to the new addition of "No-Face" as a companion, the owners have also redesigned the scene to resemble a bus interior, complete with seats and even overhead handrails for standing passengers. Sister Xi isn’t exaggerating—being a huge Studio Ghibli fan, she’s watched *Spirited Away* at least nine times back and forth.

Before heading to “Dazhi Park” to admire the trumpet trees, Sister Xi made a detour to Dali Qiaocheng Road to explore the fun of the “Totoro Station”! (These two attractions are less than five minutes apart, so you can plan to visit them together!) Alright, before diving into today’s main topic, let’s briefly introduce the backgrounds of the two protagonists (Totoro and No-Face) at Dali Qiaocheng Road’s “Totoro Station”:
※ The 1988 film “My Neighbor Totoro” depicts the interactions and adventures between a pair of sisters (Satsuki and Mei) and the forest spirits.
※ The 2001 film “Spirited Away” follows a girl named Chihiro, who is forced to survive in a strange spirit world after her parents are turned into pigs, leading her to work in a bathhouse.

% Many friends have asked where this place is. Well, if you simply say “Totoro,” you’ll know where it is right away!
In fact, this attraction was also created as a small piece of childlike fun by the neighboring “Good Listening Space.” It only became famous after being promoted online a few years ago due to the power of the internet. It’s said that they plan to create more characters from the animation “Howl’s Moving Castle” in the future, and the sketches are already underway!
% Some say it was originally just a bus stop, not particularly special. But because it’s called “Totoro Station,” it’s received lots of love from everyone.
% I personally really like it. The color scheme isn’t the red from the “Totoro” bus stop in the movie, but it still retains a certain nostalgic charm. It really makes one wonder — does this kind of magic only exist in Japan?
% I definitely recommend taking a short trip on the bus here. Don’t miss out on the cute design details!
% I’d also like to remind everyone that there are two other characters from the same movie mentioned in the article — one is the Radish Spirit, and the other is the Catbus. They’re all hidden around this area, waiting for you to discover them!
% What’s interesting is that the Radish Spirit and the Catbus also appear here. Isn’t that delightful?
% By the way, do you know what this place is? It’s the cat café featured in the movie “The Cat Returns”! Haha, do you know which character this is?
% As you can see, this is a 302-year-old grandpa cat!
And it is also one of the most familiar animated characters from Studio Ghibli’s films!
% Now let’s introduce the other character from “The Cat Returns” — a rather grumpy yet adorable cat named “The Rat Man”! [BR]
Haha, Sister Xi also absolutely loves the No-Face character!
As usual, he often appears after you’ve been in the bathhouse, and then suddenly leaves, finally choosing to appear at the top of the stairs. Isn’t he just adorable?
% Even people who aren’t huge fans of “The Cat Returns” often find themselves quite fond of the “Rat Man.” In the bustling atmosphere of the “Spirited Away” section, his presence doesn’t really stand out at first glance.
% I think, “I want to feel what she felt,” or “I want to go where she went.” That’s why the “Rat Man” at this location gives off such a similar vibe. The “Rat Man” here, because of its slightly different expression, emits a uniquely gentle aura. Combined with a human-like demeanor, it becomes a very heartwarming character. This is also one of the charms of “The Cat Returns.”
% Honestly, I didn’t expect “The Cat Returns” to have such intricate and lovely character designs. Once you see them, you’ll understand. The “Rat Man” has truly stolen the show.
% Although the “Rat Man” doesn’t have the same high popularity as the Catbus, he has a very sweet and charming personality. Perhaps because this character isn’t as prominent in the story, the emotional connection some people feel toward him is even stronger — he ranked fourth in the Top 10!
% Even the “Rat Man” here. Although he might not look as cute as expected, many people still find him endearing. Isn’t that interesting? He’s still pretty... very Q!
% The “Rat Man’s” facial expression can make people laugh just by looking at it. Some say that this character design is actually the reason they feel a strong connection. They wonder if this is how he expresses his emotions... (They say he also sheds tears and blinks his eyes realistically!)
% It’s a bit hard to describe, but this place is truly unforgettable. Once you come, you definitely won’t want to leave. You must make time in your schedule to experience its unique charm.
% I personally really love this cozy little coffee shop. Every time I come here in the evening, I see a foreigner sitting alone here, quietly sipping their drink.
Yay!Today, Sis Xi is simply sharing this tiny little spot. Friends who love Studio Ghibli animations can find some time to interact with Totoro and No-Face here — it’s really a lot of fun!
Oh yes!Sis Xi has a little reminder:
