The Wubutterfly Inclusive Playground is now open!The “Wubutterfly Inclusive Playground at Taipei’s Yuanshan Flower Expo Park” is located right next to the Wubutterfly Pavilion, covering an area of 2,000 square meters. It features a sandpit, climbing nets, slides, a bird’s nest swing, a wheelchair swing, and a caterpillar play wall.It’s about a 10-minute walk from Yuanshan Metro Station.

The Flower Expo Park inclusive playground is located next to the Wubutterfly Pavilion in the Art Zone, right beside Seafood City.

Designed with butterflies and caterpillars as its theme, it’s spacious and beautiful!

Inside, there arean accessible sandpit, climbing nets, slides, a bird’s nest swing, a wheelchair swing, a caterpillar play wall, and more — it’s likely the largest and most complete inclusive playground in Taipei.Taipei’s kids are so lucky to have so many unique parks!

The accessible sandpit even has a sunshade — awesome!

The beehive-shaped wooden cabinet is for shoe storage.

There are three slides in total.

One of them is a particularly unique roller slide.

The climbing net is built over a wood chip surface to reduce impact.

The other climbing net is also great — looks like this little girl could play here all day!

There are seven swings in total: two bird’s nest style, two diaper-style, two with safety seats, and one specially for people with disabilities — it suits nearly all age groups.

You can swing directly from a wheelchair without needing to “transfer,” meaning caregivers don’t have to lift individuals with disabilities — they can move straight from their wheelchairs onto the swing.

But the newer-style swings allow caregivers to push the wheelchair directly onto the swing — no need for the hard work of lifting, making the experience more enjoyable and considerate!

There are also various themed play elements.
