The Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival unveils its first-ever 3D light show – glowing golden at night

The Fulong Sand Sculpture Art Festival, a major summer attraction, kicks off this year on April 21st with as many as 76 sand sculptures from both domestic and international artists. Not only does it debut a unique “underground sand sculpture” concept, but the Fulong branch of Fullon Hotel also adds a special “nighttime light sculpture show” from now until July 12th.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the Fulong Sand Sculpture Art Festival has introduced an almost 90-second 3D light projection show by the Fullon Hotel Fulong Branch, turning the sand sculptures into canvases where static works come alive as vibrant underwater worlds through sound and light effects.

Taiwan’s first 3D sand sculpture light show is presented in three nightly sessions, themed “Origins of Navigation,” aiming to immerse visitors in the experience.

Another highlight this year is the debut of underground sand sculptures, which not only surprise with their inverted downward design but also feature interactive pieces loved by all ages – allowing visitors to walk through and even touch the sculptures for a deeper, more engaging experience.

Additionally, the domestic sand sculpture competition will be held on May 19 and 20, themed around Chinese chess and integrating traditional Taiwanese board game culture. The venue will be transformed into a chess tournament setting, inviting 20 local teams to showcase their creativity.
