A Thousand Windmills in a Colorful Tunnel – A Windmill Carnival Exclusively in Tainan

Over a thousand windmills have appeared at the Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area in Tainan, forming colorful and imaginative displays, including a colorful tunnel made of 3,000 windmills, a pure white windmill wall, and a windmill rainbow garden. The event runs until early June, so visitors looking to take photos and check in should seize the opportunity.

Wushantou Reservoir is located at the border between Liujia District and Guantian District. Its winding shoreline resembles a vibrant green coral reef, earning it the nickname “Coral Lake.” The reservoir covers nearly 1,300 hectares, with nearly 100 small islands and peninsulas floating on its waters, and the surrounding forested mountains span an even broader 6,000 hectares—offering stunning and enchanting scenery.

The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration chose the Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area to host the “2018 Siraya Shimmering Windmill Carnival.” This year, it specially features a series of installations themed around windmills, including the shimmering windmill tunnel, the shimmering butterfly wall, the lucky owl windmill area, the giant windmill area, the flower world windmill area, the lucky spinning windmill area, and the happiness windmill area. Additionally, windmill-themed decorations continue along the route.
