June is also the season when hydrangeas are in full bloom in Korea, and several hydrangea festivals are held locally. Among them, Korea’s largest Busan Hydrangea Festival takes place from mid-June to early July, featuring over 30 varieties of colorful hydrangeas blooming together. The spectacular sea of flowers is one of the must-see festivals in Busan.

Taejongdae Tourist Area covers approximately 540,000 pyeong, where Taejongsa Temple boasts a stunning sea of hydrangeas, creating the feeling of stepping into Alice in Wonderland. Over 30 varieties of hydrangeas bloom at Taejongsa, including pink-purple, blue-pink, and pink hues.
