Photographed in Dubai by Dutch photographer Albert Dros, the Guinness World Record-breaking laser show at the Burj Khalifa

Dutch photographer Albert Dros previously traveled to Dubai, UAE, and captured the Guinness World Record-winning "Light Up 2018" laser show at the Burj Khalifa.

The laser show took place at the Burj Khalifa, the "tallest building in the world" in Dubai, UAE. Albert Dros described the building itself as already spectacular, and said that adding lasers at night takes it "to another level." His mission was to photograph it from different angles before the show ends later this month.

Since 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the UAE’s “Founding Father” Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the show also projected his portrait onto the Burj Khalifa. In addition to lasers, surrounding buildings also emitted various lights.

You can watch the laser show before the end of the month. The showtimes are 8 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and 10 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, with no show on Sundays. The best viewing spot is in front of the fountain near the Burj Khalifa.
